The Isle of Wight Council is currently undertaking Section 19 flood investigations into the flooding that occurred on the Island during July & August 2021, specifically looking at Monktonmead, Binstead and Bembridge. Independent consultants have been appointed to gather evidence and write a report. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are encouraging all residents of Bembridge to email\u00a0flood.evidence@iow.gov.uk<\/a>\u00a0with any evidence of flooding they may have. That could include video clips or\u00a0photos but also a written account of what you saw or how you were affected. You do not need to go into extensive detail but please include a rough time and place,\u00a0especially with photos and videos. The consultants will not necessarily know where you are talking about from the photo itself. They need to know street level detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The email address has been open for a number of weeks and the evidence gathering period is coming to an end. Please tell your friends and do not delay if you wish to email any evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
