The Isle of Wight Council is currently undertaking Section 19 flood investigations into the flooding that occurred on the Island during July & August 2021, specifically looking at Monktonmead, Binstead and Bembridge. Independent consultants have been appointed to gather evidence and write a report.
We are encouraging all residents of Bembridge to email flood.evidence@iow.gov.uk with any evidence of flooding they may have. That could include video clips or photos but also a written account of what you saw or how you were affected. You do not need to go into extensive detail but please include a rough time and place, especially with photos and videos. The consultants will not necessarily know where you are talking about from the photo itself. They need to know street level detail.
The email address has been open for a number of weeks and the evidence gathering period is coming to an end. Please tell your friends and do not delay if you wish to email any evidence.
